It is vital to measure and monitor the impact of pollution on the seas, which is caused by the release of carbon load in the soil into the atmosphere.

Pollution of our seas negatively affects the whole ecosystem, especially the living things in the water. As the turbidity of the sea increases, its capacity to retain heat increases more. The more polluted the sea, the more likely it is that the heat will increase. For this reason, it is vital to measure and monitor the impact of the pollution caused by the release of the carbon load in the soil into the atmosphere on the seas.
In its project called 'Fokai', MFET continuously measures more than 12 scientific data such as pH, temperature, COD of the sea surface and coasts and stores these values on a blockchain with a very low carbon footprint. Our project stakeholders in this project, which we have just sown the seeds of, are Turkey's leading underwater and surface research companies, non-governmental organizations and local governments.
We will be able to clearly see the impact of the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere on the seas with the project, which we will create a very large database scientifically.Our university collaborations will ensure that these data will be transformed into important products to be used in scientific projects.
